Important: Booking Modification Policy
Currently, you cannot directly edit existing bookings or appointments on Splacebar. However, you have flexible options to cancel and create new bookings, or extend your current storage period.
Your options for changing bookings
Cancel & Make New Booking
If you need to change dates, times, or other booking details, you can cancel your current booking and create a new one with your preferred options.
Best for: Changing dates, times, or storage location
Refund: Based on cancellation policy
Extend Your Booking
If you need your storage for longer than originally planned, you can extend your current booking period without cancelling.
Best for: Keeping storage longer
Process: Contact space owner directly
Changing appointments
For drop-off and pickup appointments, the same rules apply - you cannot edit existing appointments but you have flexible alternatives.
Pending Appointments
If your appointment is still pending acceptance from the space owner, you can only cancel it and schedule a new appointment with different details.
What you can do:
- Cancel the pending appointment
- Schedule a new appointment with different date/time
- Wait for owner to accept, then coordinate changes via messaging
Confirmed Appointments
For confirmed appointments, contact your space owner directly through the app's messaging system to discuss rescheduling options.
Recommended approach:
- Message the space owner to request a change
- If they agree, cancel current appointment and make a new one
- If they can't accommodate, consider your other options
How to cancel and make a new booking
This is the most flexible way to change your booking details:
Check cancellation policy
Review your booking's cancellation policy to understand any fees or refund amounts before proceeding.
Cancel your current booking
Go to 'My Storage' in the app, select your booking, and follow the cancellation process.
Search for new storage
Browse available storage spaces with your new preferred dates and requirements.
Make your new booking
Complete the booking process with your updated preferences and payment.
How to extend your storage period
If you need to keep your items in storage longer than originally planned:
Extension process
- Contact your space owner through the app's messaging system
- Discuss your desired extension period and availability
- Agree on pricing for the additional time
- The space owner will update your booking through the platform
- You'll receive confirmation and payment details for the extension

- • Contact owner early (ideally 1-2 weeks before end date)
- • Be specific about how much longer you need
- • Ask about any pricing changes for extensions
